2021-2022 Tide Gate Improvement Project

The work necessary for the completion of this contract consists of the following: o Distributing construction notices to affected residents and businesses; o Establish traffic control for construction; o Furnish and install new tide valves; o Furnish and install new actuator, motor and controls; o Coordinate with SCE to install electric conduit and electric cabinet; o Demolish and replace existing catch basins; o Remove and reconstruct sidewalk, concrete pavement and curb; o Provide temporary bulkhead and manual valve and pumping. Estimated Bid Value $275,000.00. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Liquidated Damages $1000 Per Day.
