Fiber Optic Improvement Project

156251 Fiber optic infrastructure to connect the following five city owned properties: Riverton City Hall, Riverton Police Department, Sandra N. Lloyd Community Center (single connection point) - 12830 South Redwood Road. Riverton City Public Works Facility - 12526 South 4150 West Riverton City Water Facility - 3343 West Sanborn Drive Old Dome Meeting Hall - 1452 West 12600 South CR Hamilton Sports Complex Indoor Pavilion - 3700 West 13800 South The Bid has an option for bidders to provide alternative pricing proposals that make use of cost and/or infrastructure sharing. Contractors desiring to receive access to unused fiber strands within the city's Outside Plant (OSP) fiber infrastructure and willing to provide capital cost reductions, and/or in kind ongoing OSP locating, maintenance and repairs for access are encouraged to provide alternative pricing based on those cost sharing or in-kind match models. Bidders may choose to bid the fiber install only, the Proposed Option only or on both. Bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall accompany each bid. The bid bond or check of the accepted bidder shall be forfeited in the event said bidder fails or refuses to enter into a contract and/or fails to furnish the additional bonds required herein. Checks submitted in lieu of bid bonds from unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon request. The successful bidder must submit to Riverton City full performance and payment bonds in amounts equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Work cannot begin until bonds have been received by the City. Bonding costs must be included in bid price. The work involves outside plant construction, materials management, and technical services to construct a city owned fiber optic network to connect specific city owned properties that make up the Fiber Optic Improvement Project in the City of Riverton, UT. It is the intent of these documents to describe the work required to complete this project in sufficient detail to secure comparable bids. All parts or work not specifically mentioned which are necessary to provide a complete installation shall be included in the bid and shall conform to all Local, State and Federal requirements. The City of Riverton reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive any nonmaterial irregularities in the bids received, and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the best interest of the City of Riverton.
