Description | **As of September 29 2022, the project has been awarded but awarded company not confirmed.** The Village of Tonica will receive sealed bids for the "2022 Roadway Improvements", consisting of three contracts: Contract 1 - Full Depth Reclamation: This contract includes the tilling, cement stabilization and reshaping of +-4,000SY of N 19th Road as shown on the plans. At the end of Contract 1 N 19th Road shall be left in a condition ready for the placement of the overlay. Contract 2 - Hot Mix Asphalt Paving: This contract consists of sweeping of the prepared cement stabilized base on N 19th Road to remove any loose materials, +-2,500 SY milling 1.5", and +-675 tons of bituminous paving on various streets and alleys in the Village. Contract 3 - Alley Resurfacing: This contract consists of +-4,200 SY of alley tilling, reshaping, and compacting, +-130 tons of stone, and +-4,200 SY of A-2 surface treatment at various alleys in the Village. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the Owner for five (5) percent of the total amount of the Bid. As soon as the Bid prices have been compared, the Owner will return the Bonds of all except the three lowest responsible Bidders. When the Agreement is executed the Bonds of the two remaining unsuccessful Bidders will be returned. The Bid Bond of the successful Bidder will be retained until the Payment Bond and Performance Bond have been executed and approved, after which it will be returned. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price, with a corporate surety approved by the Owner, will be required for the faithful performance of the Contract. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive technicalities in bidding, and to accept other than the low bid. No Bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids for 60 days. Labor employed on this project shall be paid not less than the minimum prevailing rates of wages for the various classifications of workmen employed as determined by the State of Illinois Department of Labor |
