Description | Project Description: The work to be performed under these specifications and drawings consists of coating, corrosion repair, and appurtenance improvements at each of the three (3) welded steel, four (4) million gallon water storage Tanks 1, 2, and 3, with minor improvements associated with Tank 4, an existing eight (8) million gallon concrete tank. Bidders must submit Document 00 4313 (Bond Accompanying Bid) accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check (certified without qualification and drawn on a solvent bank of the State of California or a National Bank doing business in the State of California) or completed form of Document 00 4313 of not less than 10% of the Total Bid Price based on terms contained in Document. Liquidated Damage Amounts: As liquidated damages for delay Contractor shall pay Owner two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) for each Day that expires after the time specified herein for Contractor to achieve Substantial Completion of the entire Work, until achieved. Completion of Work: All work shall be completed within 400 calendar days for the date when the Contract Time commences to run. Owner specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all Bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects in bidding not involving time, price or quality of the work. Owner may reject any and all Bids and waive any minor irregularities in the Bids. |
