Professional Services (3) New Schools

Architecture and Engineering Firms/Individuals to provide the design and engineering services for three (3) new schools. Design and engineering shall utilize the “Design/ Planning Principles & Construction Guidelines for Shelby County Schools”, latest edition. Design services shall include but not be limited to all design phases, sustainability, ADA compliance, estimating, construction phasing plans, demolition, civil, landscape, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, life safety, IT, security, intercom, network, EMS, site utility, acoustical, and interior design. New Frayser HS – 18.7% New Orange Mound K-8 - 17.7% New Treadwell K-8 - 17.7% 1. New School #1- Frayser Area High School- 9th grade through 12th grade A new high school for the Frayser area attendance zones is planned for construction as part of the SCS Reimagining 901 initiative and is to be located on the site plan(s) provided in this solicitation. Shelby County Schools (SCS) has planned for an estimated 215,000 s.f. school for 2,000 students with room to expand for a core 2,400 students. The estimated construction budget is $80,000,000.00. Design shall include athletic and multipurpose activity fields with accessory/ support buildings to be determined during the programming phase. Due to potential site and financial restrictions, the project’s design and construction will require project phasing. 2. New School #2- TREADWELL PRE-K through 8th grade A new PreK-8 school with SPED classrooms for the Treadwell area attendance zones is planned for construction as part of the SCS Reimagining 901 initiative and will be located on the site plan(s) provided in this solicitation. Shelby County Schools (SCS) has planned for an estimated 172,000 s.f. school for 2,000 students with room to expand the core space for 2,400 students. The estimated construction budget is $34,000,000.00. Due to potential site and financial restrictions, the project’s design and construction will require project phasing. 3. New School #3- ORANGE MOUND PRE-K through 8th grade A new PreK-8 school with SPED classrooms for the Orange Mound area attendance zones is planned for construction as part of the SCS Reimagining 901 initiative. Shelby County Schools (SCS) has planned for an estimated 172,000 s.f. school for 2,000 students with room to expand the core space for 2,400 students. The estimated construction budget is $34,000,000.00. Due to potential site and financial restrictions, the project’s design and construction will require project phasing. The initial design will be sited on a conceptual 12-acre site
