Description

Bids received after stated time shall be returned, unopened. Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid or waive any informality or error in bidding for a period of 60 days from bid opening date. The Construction Manager for this project will be AECOM Hunt, 2450 South Tibbs Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46241. All work for the complete construction of the Center Grove Middle School Central Addition and Renovation will be bid under separate prime contract bids, they are as follows: 1. Bid Package #3 - General Trades 2. Bid Package #6 - Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection 3. Bid Package #7 - Electrical & Technology 4. Bid Package #8 - General Lighting 5. Bid Package #9 - Classroom Tunable Lighting 6. Bid Package #10 - Food Service Equipment Previously Released Bid Packages 1. Early Bid Package #1 - Sitework (Released in July 2022) 2. Early Bid Package #2 - Foundations (Released in July 2022) 3. Early Bid Package #4 - Structural Steel (Released in June 2022) 4. Early Bid Package #5 - Roofing (Released in June 2022) Bids shall be based on a "stipulated sum" basis in full accordance with Bidding Documents prepared by CSO Architects, 8831 Keystone Crossing, Indianapolis, IN 46240. Bids shall be executed on State Form 96 and Supplementary Proposal Form included in the Project Manual. Bids shall be accompanied by AIA Document A305 Contractor's Qualification statement. Bids shall be accompanied by Contractor's Financial Statement specific enough and in such detail so that the Owner can make a proper determination of the Bidder's capability for completing the project if awarded. A Bid security in the form of AIA Document A310, a certified check, Indiana General Revised Form No. 86, "Contractors Combination Bid Bond and Bond for Construction" or a form from an acceptable surety shall accompany each bid. The bid security shall be in the penal amount of 5% of the total bid price and made payable to the Owner. Bids shall be accompanied by the Contract Responsibility Certification (reference specification section 00 21 00 Instruction to Bidders) Should Bidder withdraw his bid within 60 days from bid opening date without written consent of the Owner or fail to execute a satisfactory contract with the Owner, the Owner may declare the bid security forfeited as liquidated damages. Prior to execution of the Contract, Bidder shall furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Sum. Bonds shall remain in full force and effect for 12 months from date of acceptance of the work.
