Description | This agreement will be for approximately 12 months in duration with the option for Pierce County Parks to extend it for additional time and budget, if necessary. Pierce County Parks reserves the right to amend terms of this "Request for Qualifications" (RFQ) to circulate various addenda, or to withdraw the RFP at any time, regardless of how much time and effort consultants have spent on their responses. Consultants will be considered for the following project. Project Description Pierce County seeks the services of a qualified consultant to provide a planning study for the proposed non-motorized Yelm Prairie Trail Connection in Pierce County from the Nisqually River to Downtown Roy. This scope of work will include, but is not limited to, inventory of existing conditions, analysis of alignment options for the proposed trail connection, identification of acquisition needs, documentation of necessary permitting requirements, review of existing right-of way, and identification of major design challenges to be addressed in later design. Facilitate key stakeholder engagement to include Pierce County Parks, BNSF, City of Yelm, City of Roy and Miles Sand and Gravel. Produce preferred trail alignment, high-level cost estimating, development timeline considering permitting. Evaluation Criteria Submittals will be evaluated and ranked based on the following criteria: (1) Approach to work, (2) Qualifications and Experience, (3) Experience and knowledge designing active transportation systems, working with public agencies, and experience with Pierce County Permitting, (4) Experience facilitating stakeholder engagement through alternative analysis process, (5) Capacity and Availability, (6) Proposal presentation, and (7) References. Submittals All firms responding to this solicitation must submit their proposal via Pierce County Procure Ware. BIDDERS WHO REGISTER AND DOWNLOAD BID DOCUMENTS will be automatically added to the bidder's list in the Procure Ware Bidding Software. Notifications for bid updates, addendum and other bid information will be sent to all bidders who register with Pierce County Procure Ware and are a 'Bidder' under Bid No. 22-179. All questions must be submitted within the Pierce County Procure Ware software.
