Description | As of November 9, 2022, all bids received for this project were over budget and rejected. The second floor build-out portion of this project has been cancelled and the covered parking structure is expected to be rebid, however, a rebid date has not been established at this time. Proposals require a five (5%) percent bid bond and may not be withdrawn after the scheduled opening time for a period ofthirty (30) days. The term bid bond shall include bonds or cashier or certified checks payable to the County. Bids will not be valid unless received by the proposal deadline and in a sealed envelope marked: "BID NO. 21/22-24, COURTHOUSE 2ND FLOOR AREA TWO BUILD-OUT AND COVERED PARKING". Envelopes are to be submitted in person or delivered by courier to the above address. For information concerning procedures for responding to this Bid, contact Alyssa Hamilton in the Purchasing Department at (904) 529-4220 or by email: purchasing@claycountygov.com During the Request for Bid Period, from publication of the notice of a Request for Bids to the making of a Bid Decision, and during any related Protest Period, Bidders are prohibited from contacting, by any means, whether orally, telephonically, electronically or in writing, any member ofthe Board, any County Employee, including the County Manager, the County Attorney, or the Commission Auditor, any member of the designated Evaluation Committee or any agent of the County regarding the Request for Bids in any respect, with the exception of(i) inquiries may be submitted to the Purchasing Department or other County Employees or agents if specifically provided in the Request for Bids (ii) pre-Bid conferences provided for in the request package; and (iii) formal presentations by Bidders to the designated Evaluation Committee or to the Board or any committee thereofspecifically contemplated in the Request for Bids. The County reserves the right to waive formalities in any response, to reject any or all responses with or without cause, to waive technical and non-technical or non-material defects in the solicitation or submittal of any responses, including the lack of availability of adequate funds, regulatory agency requirements, to make award in part or completely, and/orto accept the response that, in itsjudgment, will be in the best interest ofthe County ofClay.
