Description | The City of New Orleans (City) and New Orleans Aviation Board (NOAB) solicits quotes to obtain a contract for air compressor installations (Air Compressor Installations), for the South-side Terminal of the Louis Armstrong New Orleans (West Plant & West Plant Expansion) International Airport (South Terminal). The Contractor will be responsible for the replacement and installation of two (2) air compressors and two (2) driers for the air compressors. a. Air Compressor #1 (located at South Terminal West Plant) - Champion Duel 5 HP 34.6 cfm, 120-gallon horizontal tank with refrigerated air drier. b. Air Compressor #2 (located at South Terminal West Plant Expansion) - Champion Duel 5 HP, 40.4 cfm, 120-gallon horizontal tank with refrigerated air drier. 2. Contractor shall remove and dispose of existing air compressors and driers (including loading and hauling and all equipment/materials required to do so). 3. Contractor shall perform rigging of new equipment, including: (Drain down to be performed by facilities prior to shut down and removal.) a. Tie into existing pneumatic piping. b. Tie into existing electrical and existing building controls. c. Set new drain lines. (refill to be performed by facilities prior to start up) d. Start up and commissioning. 4. All materials shall be Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or equivalent. 5. Contractor shall take all precautions to prevent any construction materials and debris from entering the secured air side of building. 6. SIDA badging and operational requirements and restrictions while working on an active airfield will be enforced. Access to airside work areas shall be through Gate 167. 7. Standard safety procedures shall be implemented, and contractor must ensure qualified personnel are assigned to successfully complete all tasks. 8. All work shall be completed within 60 calendar days of issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP). 9. Contractor is to verify all dimensions and estimates for equipment. 10. Contractor shall notify MSY upon completion of work to schedule final inspection and acceptance, prior to issuance of final payment. Contractor to submit before and after pictures of the work areas. |
