Description | The Greater Texoma Utility Authority (GTUA) (Owner) on behalf of the City of Bells, TX (City) is seeking proposals from Contractors to supply approximately 700 Automated Meter Reading (AMR)- and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)- compatible water meters and associated software. This water meter replacement project will modernize water infrastructures in Bells through improving data collection and enhancing service. These water meters will ultimately connect to a future Advanced Metered Infrastructure (AMI) system for monitoring and control.connect to a future Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system for monitoring and control. Submit questions via email to mschmitz@anterogroup.com or gnemeth@anterogroup.com. The envelope must be sealed and clearly marked "WATER METER SUPPLY PROJECT". The Project Consists of: Supply of 700 AMR/AMI-compatible water meters for replacement in the City of Bells, including residential, public, and commercial buildings. Approximately 690 meters are 3/4" or 5/8"; approximately 10 meters are 2" in size. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The Greater Texoma Utility Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by GTUA for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of receiving bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. The contract will be contingent upon release of funds from the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB). Any contract or contracts awarded under this Notice for Bids are expected to be funded in part by a loan from the Texas Water Development Board. Neither the State of Texas nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees are or will be a party to this Notice for Bids or any resulting contract.
