Description

The County has determined that it is desirable to solicit offers from interested and qualified vendors/contractors to provide a New heated sidewalk and steps at the Courthouse building, located at 7660 North State Street Lowville NY. Removal of existing 2650 sf sidewalk & stairs Regrade subbase Form & pour new concrete stairs & walkway with tubing Apply dissipating curing / Salt Guard agents Provide new wall mounted NG boiler with appropriately sized piping / insulation to manifolds. Front Sidewalk Contractor will provide any and all equipment / materials to perform necessary services. Removal of existing sidewalk & stairs, all material to be hauled off site. Grade subbase to accommodate 3” rigid insulation and 4” concrete slab with industry standard compaction testing. Contractor to remove deteriorating foundation coating, clean and re-coat exposed foundation (approx. 6”x 110’) with approved foundation coating. Form and pour new concrete stairs with tubing 6” OC & nonslip tooling marks on stair nosing. Install (2) new stainless-steel handrails. Placement of new concrete sidewalk with 6x6 WWM (or equivalent reinforcement) & expansion joint as necessary. All tubing to be installed @ 6” OC. All concrete to be broomed finish with 3 smooth tool marks on edges. Contractor will apply dissipating curing agent & salt guard. Provide completely operational new wall mounted NG boiler with heat exchanger and pumps to glycol filled piping / insulation, appropriately sized, to manifold. Piping to be run through hallway from boiler room to front of building (approx. 200’) where manifold and minimal piping will be covered with similar hallway materials (Ceramic tile/Sheetrock), access panels to be provided for manifold. System control will be by Trane, purchased separately by owner. Rear sidewalk Contractor will provide manifold for 325 sf rear sidewalk, located adjacent to boiler room. All excavation, grading, materials & specs will be the same as front sidewalk. The contractor will also be held responsible to repair any damages occurred on the site. Contractor to block off necessary work area from public and provide necessary protection of existing building.
