For Bids of Recoating of Super High Water Storage Tank The Altoona Water Authority (AWA) will accept separate and sealed bids for the project specified. No proposals will be accepted after this time. The proposals will then be opened and publicly read aloud after 1:00 pm. These proposals are being accepted to replace bids solicited in a previously advertised Invitation to Bid. The necessity to rebid was brought about by a change in coating specifications and a lack of attendance at the previous pre-bid meeting. Copies of the bid proposal are on file and open to the public at the AWA's purchasing office at 900 Chestnut Avenue, Altoona, PA, 16601, between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM weekdays except holidays. Prospective bidders may obtain copies of the bidding documents by visiting the Authority's website and searching under News & Announcements." A Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the AWA in of the total bid amount along with bidder experience and qualifications must accompany the bid package. To be received and considered all proposals must be sealed and bear the name and address of the bidder.
