Description | Contractors must contact Miami-Dade County Parks Recreation And Open Spaces department directly to request the bid documents, otherwise their bid may be deemed non-responsive. License Requirements: Primary: General Building Contractor; Building Contractor Sub: Electrical Contractor; Plumber, Master; Paving Anticipated Start Date: 7/19/2022 Calendar Days for Project Completion: 270 All requests for information (RFI) must be submitted in writing by 07/01/2022 to Jeffery.BecarCavero@miamidade.gov and copy the Clerk of the Board at clerkbcc@miamidade.gov No phone calls will be accepted. CONTRACTOR shall review all documents, specifications, plans, surveys, testing reports and scope of work provided by Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department for Jeb Estates Park - Playground and General Plan Build-out work to be completed. Furnish all labor, equipment, and materials required to comply with the intent of the WORK described in the contract documents including but not limited to: 1) provide site, trees, and fence demolition as per civil dwgs. Arch dwgs, and Landscaping plans. 2) provide water-service extension line for on-site irrigation and on-site Drinking fountain as per civil drawings. Gc is responsible for the Coordination of water-works items to be installed by the jurisdiction. Provide cage for each back-flow preventor. 3) provide row cul-de-sac swale and asphalt improvements as per civil, arch, And landscape drawings. Please see two (2) parallel parking spaces. Install & Temporarily maintain new sod at all areas around the swale and center Island of cul-de-sac. 4) provide new on-site p&d grading and drainage structures as per civil and Landscaping drawings. Coordinate elevations with the substrate required For the ewf surface and also final ewf final elevations and thickness Required. 5) provide new miami-dade county parks perimeter wood fencing, and new Site access, metal swim-arm gates. See arch dwgs a-0.6 & a-0.7. 6) construct concrete entrance features as per arch dwgs. Please see Seating bench detail as per a-0.3 & a-0.4 7) provide new electrical feed for irrigation system operation. Install new 6 feet High fence & gate for elect meter, exterior mounting rack with cabinet for The installation of irrigation controls and rain sensor. 8) provide and install new drinking fountain, extend plumbing lines for Water supply (from new water-service), and sanitary plumbing line Discharging into civil drainage system. 9) install irrigation system in coordination with all construction Sequences. Irrigation rain / moisture sensor and irrigation timer (within Lockable exterior cabinet) shall be mounted on fpl rack. 10) install conc. Slab substrate and safety turf assemblies at sloping feature And slide areas, see dwg a-0.5. Provide shop drawings, permit, and install New conc footers for slide and all other playground equipment. 11) install complete sidewalk pathway system, and perimeter conc curbing As per drawings. Please see walkway sect. Detail on arch dwg a-0.6. 12) install multi-layered engineered wood fiber (ewf) surface system as per Manufacts recommendation. Coordinate substrate draining assembly and Grading with civil p&d work 13) install and create all site features as per landscaping plans with boulder Components, rock slabs to form stepped features, grading, and terracing. Provide / create hills mounts and areas of depression as per Affected by construction. (please see landscape drawings for sod species to Be used). 15) install all recreation equipment as per drawings; g.C. Shall include in Bid, fbc compliant, and state of florida compliant, full engineering Drawings and calculations for recreation equipment with full design loads For gravity, wind and usage. Shop-dwgs shall include full structural design Of footers for the support of these playground structures. Footing design Shall take into consideration soil test by dynatech engineering. Contractor Shall be fully responsible for submitting these shop-dwgs for review and Approval to client and design consultant of record. Contractor shall be Ultimately responsible for the submittal, routing, and expediting of this Separate permit through miami-dade county building dept. Contractor to Coordinate with sub-contractor for duration of this permit. No permit Delays shall be charged to the client. 16) install benches and trash receptacles on concrete slabs and provide Anchors as per manufacturers specifications. Please see a-0.7 with details For trash receptacle (provide 2 in total). 17) there shall be log benches to be harvested from other separate Locations with invasive species. Contractor shall include in bid. Going to the Remote location (unlimited times) remove / cutting tree logs identified, Include any stump and grinding requiired. Include take / deliver tree logs to Location of wood working for bench construction. Contractor shall also Include transporting and treating the wood w/ for moisture resistance (pressure treatment) and final delivery to jeb estates park, bench assembly And installations as per details. 18) contractor shall include under scope of work, the services of a thirdparty testing / inspection agency specialized in the certification of Playground surfaces, and playground equipment. Such agency shall review And issue a final report confirming that installation is fully compliant with All applicable agencies. *testing agency - be engaged early in the process and Shall I) review and approve the shop-dwgs produced prior to permit submittal. Ii) shall inspect site before and after ewf installation. Iii) agency shall issue final letter confirming satisfactory installation. Any Deficiencies shall be corrected by gc at no cost to the owner. 19) provide and install (2) bicycle racks, provide and install signage at each Playarea indicating the recommended age of the children / users. Professional signage shall be manufactured by the recreation equipmeny Company. 20) obtain plant material, and all other elements, approval as per below: A) all colors to be confirmed and selected by client. Please see finishes and Materials for entrance feature. submit hard samples and 12X12 mock-ups Of materials when applicable. submit pictures of boulders and 6X6 drawings. Boulder count shall meet the Design intent 14) provide new sod at entire park foot-print and also cul-de-sac areas Fragment / representation. B) final location of all plant material to be site verified with landscape Architect prior to planting. C) location of equipment shall be site verified with client and landscape Architect prior to footing excavation. D) see notes in landscape dwgs & specs regarding planting material. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to verify all pricing and to modify their adjustment factors accordingly to inflation or material cost fluctuations prior to submitting a final Base Bid price. Failure to honor pricing could impact the ability of the firm to receive County Business in the future as it will become a responsibility issue in future evaluations. Bids received after the bid submittal date and time stipulated above will not be considered. The County reserves the right to postpone or cancel the bid opening at any time prior to the scheduled opening, reject any and or all Bids, to waive informalities and irregularities, or to re-advertise the Project. The County, choosing to exercise its right of rejection, does so without imposition of any liability against the County. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to verify all pricing and to modify their adjustment factors accordingly to inflation or material cost fluctuations prior to submitting a final Base Bid price. Failure to honor pricing could impact the ability of the firm to receive County business in the future as it will become a responsibility issue in future evaluations. Contractor shall submit certified payrolls electronically through the LCP Tracker system. SBE-Con.
