Description

Questions Due Date: Aug 4th 2022, 3:00 PM EDT This request for professional services will be for the East Chicago Capital Project. The project scope includes renovations to instructional, lab, and classroom space for advanced manufacturing and robotics space and will include classroom spaces for welding and spaces for student collaboration. The additional improvements in this request include updating lighting, windows, remaining HVAC system, fire suppression system, as well as replacement overhead doors, and restrooms adjustments. The project will impact the total building gross square footage 106,470 for infrastructure components and 48,000 assignable square feet of renovation in class, lab, restroom areas. If final approvals are not obtained and the project is not approved for funding no services will be awarded. The following is an overview of the anticipated project for reference purposes only. It is not a comprehensive list of specific items of work. We will utilize the Construction Manager as Constructor (CMc) delivery method for this project. The project must follow the Ivy Tech project, system and space standards outlined on our website. This includes specifics related to; Building Exterior, Building Interior and Finishes, All Building Systems including; Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Information Technology and Fire Life Safety Systems. This project must receive final approval by the State Budget Committee. Please note any time spent, for work or cost associated with this RFQ and RFP will be at the sole expense of participating firms. Note; total estimated project budget includes: all professional services, escalation for future cost of work, allowances for FF&E, commissioning services, etc. LEED documentation: LEED Silver Certification will be the minimum project goal, though certification will not occur. Provide the Basis of Design (BOD) document as well as the Owner's Project Requirements (OPR) document with or before the DD submittal.
