Arcata Storage Tank-1C Project

A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The City of Arcata is soliciting bids for WORK consisting of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, incidentals and performing all work required to install a 1MG steel water tank and a new water main off of West End Road near the area known as "Happy Valley", in the City of Arcata. The project includes, but is not limited to: Stump and vegetation removal, construction of an access road, site grading and earthwork, installation of approximately 2,300 LF of waterline and appurtenances, installation of a 1MG steel water tank, underground electrical service to the tank site, concrete curbing and drainage improvements. Said bids will be referred to the Arcata City Council for consideration at their next regularly scheduled meeting on or after Wednesday, July 6, 2022. This CONTRACT is subject to State contract non-discrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990. The City of Arcata hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. The above project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Each contractor or subcontractor listed on the bid proposal must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. Pursuant to Section 1733 of the Labor Code, the Director of California Department of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of wages. Bidders should contact the Department of Industrial Relations at (415) 703-4281 for General Prevailing Wage Rates on specific job classifications. Future effective wage rates, which have been predetermined, are on file with the California Department of Industrial Relations. Bidders are advised that if they intend to use a craft or classification not on file in the general wage determinations, they may be required to pay the wage rate of that craft of classification most closely related to it as shown in the general determinations. The above project is subject to uniform construction cost accounting procedures as set forth in the California Public Contracts Code, Section 22000 et seq., the Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act. All bidders shall be licensed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Pursuant to California Public Contracts Code Section 22300, CONTRACTOR may substitute securities in place of any funds retained by the City for WORK performed on this project. The City of Arcata reserves the right to reject any and all bids. For viewing at the City Manager's Office, 736 "F" Street, Arcata, CA 95521 CONTRACTOR shall possess a Class "A" license at the time this contract is bid or a combination of classes required by the categories and type of work included in this contract. All vegetation and stump removal shall be conducted by a Licensed Timber Operator (LTO), Type A. All bidders shall be licensed in accordance with the laws of the State of California.
