Description

First cutting a square around the traffic bollard which will remain. This will be a 14-inch square from centerline of the bollard. Removal of an approximate 144 square foot section of 6-inch thick integral colored concrete sidewalk. Remove and place the sidewalk in two separate 72 square feet sections, to maintain public access to the historic corridor. Once concrete is removed, compact subgrade material with walk behind vibrating Wacker Packerâ„¢ or similar compaction equipment. Compact subgrade until 90% compaction is achieved. The new concrete is to be colored dyed with Butterfield SG10 Thyme coloring pigment. The work site and surrounding area is grade that was built up with the 2013 bridge project this area is sitting on approximately 4 foot of clean fill material over the original 2013 grade. Vendor performing the work will be allowed to access the work area from the built-up grass area next to sidewalk form the main parking western side. Access will be grant for work truck and skid steer only concrete ready-mix truck will remain on the main parking lot surface. Wheelbarrow will be needed for the placement of the new concrete; concrete truck cannot access the location and will be approximately 300 feet from work location
