Description

The Work includes renovation of 7000 SF in Rooms 219 and 250. The project will provide laboratories and accessory spaces. Project will include the demolition and construction to provide 2 wet labs, including lab benches, casework and utilities: compressed air, natural gas, HC water sources, sanitary connections, extension of fire sprinkler system and emergency shower stations. Mechanical systems shall include replacing perimeter steam radiant heat and removing window AC units. New rooftop equipment and ducts will be required. The ventilation system shall accommodate the inclusion of 19 laboratory fume hoods. HVAC will include connection to trunk lines of an existing HVAC unit housed remotely in a mechanical room on in the attic. Project work will include the partial replacement of exterior windows. General Contractor is responsible for limited environmental work and sprinkler work within the project, as shown in the Drawings. This Project is located at: Noyes Laboratory of Chemistry, 505 S. Mathews Avenue, Urbana, Illinois. Additional information about this project can be obtained from Mark Roessler The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof, to waive any informalities in the bidding, and to accept the bids deemed to be in the best interests of the Owner after all bids have been examined and evaluated. Alternates, if considered, will be accepted in any order as determined by the Owner.
