Town and Country Sewer Replacement

This project consists of the replacement of deteriorating sanitary sewer lines within the Town and Country subdivision. Approximately 9,000 lf of sanitary sewer lines with associated appurtenances will be replaced. The last day for clarifications/questions is Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 5 pm. The procedure for withdrawal of Bids shall be according to Section 2.2-4330 of the Code of Virginia. A pre-bid conference will not be held for this project due to BRWA offices being closed to the public amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic. Deadline for questions and clarifications on the contract documents must be made in writing by 5:00 PM on Friday, August 12, 2022. Only clarifications by formal written addenda will be binding. All communications in regard to clarifications and any other matters related to this project shall be addressed to the Authority, Attn: Whitney Quarles, P.E., Engineering Manager, 1723 Falling Creek Road, Bedford, VA 24523, email: w.quarles@brwa.com. Contract is to be awarded on a unit price basis. idder's attention is invited to the requirements of Title 54.1, Chapter 11, of the Code of Virginia pertaining to registration which specifies the following: "Class A contractors" perform or manage construction, removal, repair, or improvements when (i) the total value referred to in a single contract or project is $120,000 or more, or (ii) the total value of all such construction, removal, repair, or improvements undertaken by such person within any 12- month period is $750,000 or more. "Class B contractors" perform or manage construction, removal, repair, or improvements when (i) the total value referred to in a single contract or project is $10,000 or more, but less than $120,000, or (ii) the total value of all such construction, removal, repair or improvements undertaken by such person within any 12-month period is $150,000 or more, but less than $750,000.
