Description

As of August 16, 2022, information regarding an award for this solicitation is not available. At this time, it is not known if an award has been made. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ……………….. The University of California, Berkeley is seeking an executive architectural consultant to investigate, evaluate, program and design improvements to the Dwinelle Hall Annex for a new Center for the University's Disabled Students Program (DSP). The first phase of the consultant's efforts will be a Study to identify and prioritize access improvements, seismic, code/life-safety and building envelope deficiencies. Dwinelle Hall Annex, approximately 8500 gsf, is currently largely unoccupied because of environmental issues (mold) and lack of disability access. The primary goals of the study phase are identification of these much-needed improvements and repairs and engagement with the DSP in preliminary programming sessions. The Study will be used to guide the subsequent phases of detailed programming, design and construction. The Disabled Students' Program (DSP) has outgrown its current space and staff are currently dispersed over several locations. This project will provide a new home for student disability access on campus and will bring DSP staff under one roof, allowing improvement and expansion of services. Program services will include a new TRIO center, a new faculty room, and a new computer lab for students on the autism spectrum, a new confidential check in area and an expanded waiting area. Questions about this RFQ or the project should be submitted Via Electronically no later than 5:00p.m. PST on AUGUST 3, 2021. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
