Description | (The following sentence applies if the A310 Bid Bond is included for this project) Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the total bid. Bidders for this project are required to hold a current Certificate of Prequalification issued by the School Board of Volusia County Florida at the time of bid opening. The School Board reserves the right to reject any one or more bids as provided by law. All bids shall be binding for a period of 60 calendar days from the date of bid opening or until School Board approval of the bid, whichever occurs first. The bid amount of the successful bidder, once approved by the School Board, shall not be subject to change or withdrawal. All bids shall be subject to the provisions of the Solicitation, as defined in FAC Document 631, Instructions to Bidders. It is the sole responsibility of all bidders to fully comply with the provisions of the Solicitation during this bidding process. The Building Automation System (BAS) is to provide a peer-to-peer networked, stand-alone, distributed control system for building mechanical and electrical systems. The BAS shall include an operator workstation also known as Engineering Control Center (ECC), field programmable microprocessor based control units panels, instrumentation end control devices, wiring, piping, and related systems to provide centralized and facility wide control functions. B. The BAS shall be designed such that each mechanical and electrical system will be able to operate under stand-alone control. As such, in the event of a network communication failure, or the loss of any other controller, the control system shall continue to independently operate under control. C. The System Integrator (SI) Contractor shall refer to the drawings and equipment specifications for coordination of factory installed control equipment in products furnished by others as they relate to this section. D. Provide all labor (direct employed or subcontracted), materials, programming and supervision necessary to install a complete Building Automation System (BAS) per the construction documents. Include provisions for the following: 1. Mounting hardware for all control devices. 2. Construction supervision. 3. Startup and verify proper operation of control equipment. 4. Point verification and testing of hardware and software. 5. Work in conjunction with the TAB agent to calibrate and adjust devices as required |
