The Contractors bidding need not be pre-qualified but shall be qualified to do the work. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid. The bid guaranty may be by certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond made payable to the Lincoln Airport Authority of the City of Lincoln, Nebraska. Bids may be held by the Lincoln Airport Authority, for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of evaluating bids prior to award of contract. The Contractor will have the option to begin work during the 2022 construction season or in the spring of 2023. All project work shall be substantially completed within the stated timeframe. The right is reserved, as the Lincoln Airport Authority, may require, to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bids received. Award of Contract will be based on the lowest aggregate sum proposal (Total Base Bid) for all work, submitted from those bidders that are confirmed as being responsive and responsible. The project consists of the patching, milling, and placing asphalt overlay on North Park Road.
