Description | The Mahomet Pump Station is located off of Lake of the Woods Road behind the Village of Mahomet Parks & Recreation Building General improvements of the existing Mahomet Pump Station which includes: Updating Electrical and Controls Equipment Replacing Pumps Replacing Piping and Valving inside the Existing Vaults Questions regarding the bid documents should be directed to Donohue & Associates, Inc., Attention: Alexis Sheehan, PE. (Phone: 217-903-4438, email: asheehan@donohue-associates.com) The Contractor and subcontractors shall conform to the "Public Works Preference" Act (30 ILCS 560/1 et. Seq.). The Contractor shall also comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, the Veteran's Preference Act, the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act, and the Illinois Human Rights Act. WAGE RATES: The Sangamon Valley Public Water District has established the rates for the various classifications of workers and crafters on the proposed improvements, with said rates being as required by the Illinois Department of Labor for the county within which the work will be performed. A copy of the applicable wage rates for the area in which the work is to be completed is included in the Project Manual. The CONTRACTOR and all subcontractors shall pay wages to laborers and mechanics at a rate not less than the minimum wages specified in the Prevailing Wage Determination issued by the Illinois Department of Labor. In addition, CONTRACTOR shall provide certified payroll on a monthly basis and retain said payroll records for not less than three (3) years after the OWNER has made final payment on the project. BID SECURITY: Bid Security in the amount of not less than 5% of the Bid shall accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. CONTRACT SECURITY: The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in an amount equal to the Contract Price. BID REJECTION/ACCEPTANCE: The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, waive informalities in bidding, or to accept the Bid or Bids, which best serves the interests of the Owner. BID WITHDRAWAL: No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the scheduled opening of the bids without the consent of Owner. |
