Description

Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a municipal facility in Linton, Indiana. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and for asbestos abatement for a municipal facility. City of Linton - Eagles Building Clearance Project - Division A - Asbestos Removal & Division B - Demolition. Submit written questions to: SME 5835 West 74th Street Indianapolis, Indiana 46278 Attn: Michael Yergin, CHMM 765-524-0816 cell Michael.yergin@sme-usa.com Division A - City of Linton - Asbestos Removal - Eagles Building: The project will include proper asbestos abatement and removal from the Eagles Building located at 60 East Vincennes Street, Linton, Indiana 47441. Division B - City of Linton - Demolition - Eagles Building: The project will include the demolition and removal of the former Eagles Building located at 60 East Vincennes Street, Linton, Indiana 47441, the restoration of the site, and the construction of a monument including limestone salvaged from the building. Submit a bid bond or cashier's check payable to the Owner with each bid included in the contractor's proposal. Each bid bond or cashier's check shall be equivalent to 5% of the total corresponding bid. The bid bond or cashier's check will be released or returned to the bidder in case its bid is rejected. The bid bond or cashier's check shall be forfeited and the principal amount of said bid bond shall be paid to the Owner or said check shall be surrendered to the Owner as the agreed amount of liquidated damages in case of failure to enter into contract as described by the Contract Documents. If the bid is accepted, the bid bond or cashier's check will be returned after the Contract Agreement has been signed and the Performance Bond herein required has been furnished and approved by the Owner. A Performance Bond for the work will be required prior to award of the contract. The Contractor shall include the cost for a Performance Bond in an amount that is 100% of the total corresponding bid. The Performance Bond and the Surety will be released only when all provisions of the Contract and all warranty obligations required by the Contract have been fulfilled. The Owner reserves the right to rescind the award of any contract at any time before the execution of said contract by all parties without liability against the Owner. The Owner may award the contract either in its entirety or may delete any of the items from the award as is in the best interests of the Owner. The City of Linton, Indiana (the Owner) reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any formality in the bidding process.
