Description | The project improves pedestrian access at two separate City of Raleigh greenways from public streets. The Contractors scope will consist of demolition, clearing, grading, and site preparation for: asphalt trails, ADA curb ramps, integration with existing ROW conditions, and signage. Refer to drawings and project manual for complete description of project scope. Questions will be received ONLY in written form. The deadline to submit written questions to the Landscape Architect is 5:00 pm local prevailing time on January 24, 2023. A final addendum will be released no later than January 26, 2023. Email questions to: Karen Hass at karen.haas@timmons.com With requests for Bidding Documents, all requestors shall supply the following information for registration with the Landscape Architect: Company name, contact person, street address, phone numbers, and email address for Bidding office. Indicate if the firm will be a Bidder, Supplier, or Sub-Contractor. Partial sets of plans and specifications will not be issued. Contractors are responsible for distributing documents to all sub-contractors. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) days after the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Each Bidder must show evidence that it is licensed under Chapter 87 of the N.C. General Statutes, and the City reserves the right to request additional bidder qualifications as needed. Pursuant to General Statues of North Carolina Section 143-128 and 143-131 and to City policy, the City of Raleigh encourages and provides equal opportunity for Certified Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) businesses to participate in all aspects of the City's contracting and procurement programs to include - Professional Services; Goods and Other Services; and Construction. Furthermore, the City's goal is to contract or sub-contract fifteen percent (15%) of the contract amount to Certified MWBEs on construction projects over $300,000. The goal breakdown is 8% for minorities and 7% for non-minority females. The Owner reserves the right to reject any Proposal for failure to comply with all requirements of this Notice or of any of the Contract Documents; however, the Owner may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion.
