Description | The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) is seeking bids for the replacement of all the Queensgate facilities overhead garage doors, controller, sensors, reflectors. Deadline to Submit Questions: 2:00 Pm on September 16, 2022 (Est) Addendum/response to Questions/clarifications Issued: September 22, 2022 The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) is seeking bids for the replacement of all the Queensgate facilities overhead garage doors, controller, sensors, reflectors, along with utilizing the existing installed inground wire loops but adding one (1) manual on-off switch so ground loops can be deactivated individually. Any damaged, or missing, ground loop caulking shall be replaced. Queensgate division currently consists of 106 garage doors in total. See Scope of Work. Below is the location and address where the replacements shall be performed: o Queensgate (QG) Operating Division - 1401 Bank St., Cincinnati, OH 45214 The garage doors shall be replaced in four phases: schedule for installation of garage doors over the next four phases is as follows: PHASE 1 Replace (10) 14'x22'2" garage doors PHASE 2 Replace (32) 14'x22'2" garage doors PHASE 3 Replace (32) 12'x 14' garage doors PHASE 4 Replace (32) 12'x 14' garage doors The Queensgate facility currently has 60 14' x 22'2" Steel form standard (S24) white insulated (Raynor) garage doors; these are the bus parking bay doors. There is an additional 46 12' x 14' Steel form standard (S24) white insulated (RAYNOR) garage doors; these are the bus service garages. The project scope shall be the replacement of all exterior wall existing overhead doors and removal of all existing overhead doors and accessories. All Wash Bay Doors, Equipment and Materials shall be designed for WET LOCATIONS. Contractor shall be responsible for confirming all opening dimensions prior to submitting a response to this request and confirm all equipment will fit all spaces prior to ordering. Contractor shall remove and legally dispose of all demoed materials except for all springs and solid shafts. All removed springs and solid shafts shall be placed, by contractor, in a recycling dumpster provided by the owner and become property of the owner. Project area shall be swept clean at the end of each work shift. After removal of door frame mounted angle all exposed rust shall be ground smooth, and area painted with a Rust Converter metal primmer such as "Corrosseal" or equal. Any area the requires patching beyond rust removal shall be brought the owner's attention upon discovery. The removal of any existing Fire Suppression hanging brackets along with Sprinkler Head protection shall be by others and is not part of this request. However, if during the process of completing this project the door installer, or any of his sub-contractors, damage any part of the existing Fire Protection System the door installer shall be responsible for all direct and indirect damage repair and clean-up. The owner will supply a laydown area for the contractors use on the property. All electrical work required to provide fully functional doors as requested is to be included. If the temperature is projected to be below 40 degrees Fahrenheit while a door is removed the opening is to be covered to prevent building heat loss. Sensors shall be set/installed to prevent a door from closing on a 2 nd bus existing the building directly behind the bus that activated the overhead door initially. Upon completion of each phase of the project the full warranty period for all equipment installed during the phase shall begin. Upon completion of each phase owner training shall be provided along with all warranties, parts list and manuals submitted to the owner. A written schedule per phase shall be submitted to the owner for approval prior to any work beginning. An ADD alternate per door each to upgrade to a High-Speed door shall be supplied in response to this request |
