2023 Street Maintenance Program

The City of Ramsey will receive sealed bids for furnishing all labor, material, machinery and tools necessary for City Pavement Maintenance Project #23-16, 2023 Pavement Patching Contracted Services. The work generally consists of patching pavement on City streets with numerous deep potholes (> 2-inches deep) and shallow potholes (< 2-inches deep). Approximately 19.6 miles of City streets require deep pothole patching, and approximately 20.8 miles of City streets require spray patching. Some streets need both types of patching requiring coordination between patching crews. The work is estimated to include: o 2,500 Tons Bituminous Mixture for Patching o 950 Gallons Bituminous Material for Tack Coat (CSS-1h) o 300 Hours 4-Person Crew o 20.8 Miles Spray Patching (Lump Sum) o Mobilization (Lump Sum) o Traffic Control (Lump Sum) It is anticipated that a contract will be awarded on June 13, 2023, and that work may begin on or about June 26, 2023. Each bidder shall submit a bid bond made payable to the City of Ramsey in the amount of 5% of the total bid, to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid is accepted and the bidder shall fail to promptly enter into a written contract and furnish the required bond. The online bid must be completed and submitted, all addenda acknowledged and acknowledgement uploaded to the site, and a copy of the bid bond uploaded to the site. The original bid bond must be delivered to the City within 2 business days after the bid opening. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least 45 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. The City of Ramsey reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive informalities.
