Description | The City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida (City) is seeking bids from qualified bidders, for construction services in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this Invitation To Bid (ITB). This Project is located City-Wide in the City of Fort Lauderdale. The work includes, but is not limited to, sidewalk, asphalt, paver emergency repairs, various curbs, ADA concrete ramps, thermoplastic pavement marking, removal of asphalt etc. There will not be a pre-bid meeting or site visit for this Invitation to Bid. However, it will be the sole responsibility of the bidder to inspect the City's location(s) and become familiar with the scope of the City's requirements and systems prior to submitting a proposal. No variation in price or conditions shall be permitted based upon a claim of ignorance. Submission of a proposal will be considered evidence that the proposer has familiarized himself with the nature and extent of the work, equipment, materials, and labor required. Bid Security: A certified check, cashier's check, bank officer's check or bid bond for FIVE percent (5%) of the bid amount, made payable to the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, shall accompany each offer. Certified Checks, Cashier's Checks and Bank Drafts: These CANNOT be submitted via portal, nor are their images allowed to be uploaded and submitted with your electronic bid. These forms of securities, as well as hard copy bid bonds, must be received on or before the Invitation to Bid (ITB) opening date and time, at the Finance Department, Procurement Services Division, 100 North Andrews Avenue, Room 619, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301-1016, with the bid number and title clearly indicated on the envelope. It is the bidder's sole responsibility to ensure that its bid bond or other bid security is received by the Procurement Services Division before time of bid opening. Failure to adhere to this requirement may be grounds to consider the bid as non-responsive. The City of Fort Lauderdale reserves the right to waive any informality in any or all bids and to reject any or all bids.
