Landscape Design and Concept and Install For Outdoor Garden Space The University of Kentucky, Campbell County Cooperative Extension Service, located at 3500 Alexandria Pike, Highland Heights, KY 41076 is seeking a qualified landscape architect interested in proposing a landscape design/concept and install for our outdoor garden space at Lakeside Commons Educational Garden. Qualified companies may contact the CCES, 859.572.2600, to schedule an appointment to tour the facility and meet with the horticulture staff and garden committee for more information. Design Request: o Accessibility between garden and walking space around pond/lake o Walkways o Incorporate human 5 senses/sensory o Sustainable space o Impervious surfaces and paths, solar, rain barrel, ect. o Identify runoff, water quality o Identify natural spring(s) o Easy to maintain o Interactive/educational spaces o Vegetable gardening o Trial gardens displays o Inviting space. Noticeable. Signage. o Seating for outdoor education o Shade area o Safety o May need to increase lighting, electric o Landscape around Lake o Buffer strips o Fishing ADA dock/pier o Outdoor restrooms o Connecting with NKU, Senior Center, Farmers Market and Community
