Pressure Washing at Fluvanna Correctional Center

I. SCOPE OF WORK/DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS (SPECIFICATIONS) DOC is seeking a SBSD certified vendor to professionally power wash the following FOURTEEN (14) buildings located at the Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women: Building 1 - Housing Building Building 2 - Medical Building Building 3 - Housing Building Building 4 - Gymnasium/Education Building Building 5 - Housing Building Building 6 - Housing Building Building 7 - Kitchen/VCE/Education Building 8 - Housing Building Building 9 - Administration Building Building 10 - Administration Building Building 11 - Warehouse Building 12 - Mailroom Building 13 - Out-building (Sally Port) Building 14 - Building and Grounds Building Work shall include siding, eaves, soffits, steps (where applicable) and foundation. The successful bidder shall not use any caustic or acid type cleaners during the performance of work that will damage the buildings or environment. The successful bidder shall furnish all equipment and cleaning solution. Any damage to glazing, pointing, expansion joints or window seals shall be noted prior to power washing. The successful bidder shall supply a copy of their Contractor's License and Certificate of Insurance to this office prior to the beginning of any work. The Certificate of Insurance shall list the following as the certificate holder: Commonwealth of Virginia, Virginia Department of Corrections, 6900 Atmore Drive, Richmond, Virginia 23225. Work is to be performed inside of an institution. Allow extra time for daily security check upon entering and exiting the facility. No jeans or denim or orange shirts are allowed inside the institution. Contractors will not be allowed to bring cell phones, food or beverage inside the institution. Workers will need to go through security at the beginning of each and ending of each day. If workers would like to leave the facility to eat lunch they will have to exit and re-enter through security to be allowed back inside. Work shall be performed during normal business hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Include in your bid all expenses. Extra charges are not allowed. Contractor shall provide information for background checks and employees must attend PREA training prior to the beginning of any work. All DOC facilities are smoke free. Due to the importance of all bidders having a clear understanding of the specifications/scope of work and requirements of this solicitation, attendance at this conference will be a prerequisite for submitting a bid. Bids will only be accepted from those bidders who are represented at this prebid conference. Attendance at the conference will be evidenced by the representative's signature on the attendance roster. No one will be admitted after (time) . Bring a copy of the solicitation with you. Any changes resulting from this conference will be issued in a written addendum to the solicitation.
