Description | Background The 105th Airlift Wing Civil Engineer Squadron is looking to replace the gutter system on the roof of building 100 (North and South side of Hangar). The current system has been identified to W50S8D23R0006 Page 4 of 20 be the cause of leaks within the building. 2. Scope Contractor will furnish all engineering, supervision, tools, parts, material, labor, supplies, permits, equipment and incidentals required to properly perform work outlined below. All work will be performed in a safe manner and will be accomplished in accordance with all local, state, federal, and safety regulations to include any hazardous waste disposal if necessary. All materials to be installed must be submitted and approved prior to installation. 3. Objectives Contractor will remove/discard existing gutters liner at building 100 and shall furnish and install comparable gutter system. This scope of work, at a minimum, will include the below: A. Building 100 North/South (Hangar) 1. Contractor will remove all debris and existing rubber gutter liners from all gutters to be coated, lined, and prepped as required. 2. All debris will be discarded properly and safely. 3. Contractor will furnish and install a "GAF TOPCOAT(R)" metal roof restoration-silver system in the gutters along drainage grating with appropriate hardware within the area of work. 4. Gutter's dimensions are measured to be approximately: a. 630 Linear ft b. 12inx18inx12in 5. Gutter Drain 6in. drain (27 Total) will be replaced along with elbow where it meets exterior gutter at penetration. (See Attachment 6) In accordance with industry standards. B. Any work debris generated from demolitions or work scraps or any item listed above are to be discarded and removed appropriately by the contractor from the base. C. The Contracting Officer/Representative will be the final approving authority upon completion of work with regards to quality, safety, and cleanliness. D. Work schedule must be submitted at least 15 days prior to start.Work performed in a restricted work area must be coordinated with the COR daily. Any deviations from schedule may results is delays, issues, and/or stoppage of work. E. The worksite shall be cleaned on a daily basis and any foreign object and debris (FOD) hazards shall be removed throughout the period of performance. 4.Delivery All parts and materials will be new parts and materials, as manufactured or recommended by the manufacturer. Performance will take place at the 105th Airlift Wing, Stewart ANGB, Newburgh, W50S8D23R0006 Page 5 of 20 NY. The Performance Period will be 21 days. 5.Pre-Construction Meeting The Contractor will be required to meet with the Contracting Office, BCE representative and other members as required prior to the commencement of any work in order to coordinate the project schedule and requirements to work on a military installation. Topics of discussion will include: Hours of work, lay-down and storage areas, work area limits, safety compliance, emergency notifications and any other topics deemed necessary by the Contracting Officer or Contracting Officer representative. 6. Government Furnished Property: None. 7. Security Contractors should be aware that this is a Military Installation and that all access to this installation is granted by the 105 AW Base Defense Squadron. The U.S. government will not be held liable for any delays or breach of contract caused by refusal of the 105th AW Base Defense Squadron. If a gate pass is not granted to a contractor allowing the delivery of goods, execution of warranty support, or performance of services please contact the contracting officer. A contractor's badge will be issued once The Contractor enters the main gate at Stewart Air National Guard Base. All employees are required to have the proper ID (social security card, driver's license, state ID, immigration card, U.S. Passport, etc.). If they do not have the proper ID, they will be turned away. Vendors should be aware that Anti- Terrorism Force Protection Measures are applicable to this contract. Vendors will be briefed on these measures by Base Defense personnel if recurring or long term access is required to Stewart ANG Base. Otherwise you will be escorted at all times by a member of Stewart ANG Base. Site Visit is scheduled for Tuesday April 25th @ 1pm for all of those who are interested. If you plan on attending the site visit, you MUST let kevin.fenner.1@us.af.mil know ahead of time AND ALL individuals MUST bring two (2) forms of government ID (Drivers License, SS card, Passport, etc.). ***You will NOT be allowed access to the base without the two forms of ID*** We will NOT entertain a second site visit. No questions about project details will be answered after 4:00pm Wednesday May 3rd. |
