Description | Precast Parking Deck Construction component of the Holly Springs Mixed-Use Site Work and Infrastructure Project. All engineering and technical questions should be directed to Jason Manners at jason.manners@kimleyhorn.com. The time allowed for Substantial Completion is 18 consecutive months from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Nonrefundable liquidated damages in the amount of $500 per calendar day (except Sundays and federal holidays) will be deducted from monies due the Contractor in the event that a portion of the work remains incomplete beyond the agreed upon contract completion date. The official Notice to Proceed is anticipated to be given to the chosen contractor in the spring of 2023. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the OWNERS in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the awarded project bid amount and a payment bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the awarded project bid amount, with the executed Contract meeting the requirements of the Instructions for Bidders. The terms and time for payment are set forth in the Contract. Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best rating of A-6 or greater, be listed in the Federal Registry of Companies holding Certificates of Authority and Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds, be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the State of Georgia. Requests for payments are due by the Fifth (5th) of the month for payment by the Twentieth (20th) of the month less 5% retainage. Retainage will be held until final acceptance of the project by the City of Holly Springs. All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for 90 days after the date of the Bid opening, but the OWNERS may, in their sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date. The Owners reserve the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive formalities and re-advertise. |
