Description

District: CENTINELA VALLEY UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT 14901 South Inglewood Ave., Lawndale, CA 90260 Project s Preliminary Cost Estimate: $400,000.00 the Centinela Valley Union High School District of Los Angeles County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as "DISTRICT," will receive up to, but not later than, the above stated bid deadline, sealed bids at the place identified above for the award of a contract for the above Project. Scope of work: Provide and install distribution boards for new electrical service. Provide and install main service board. Install slab box per SCE requirements for transformer installation. Provide and install generator along with automatic transfer switch system. Provide and install exterior lights and lighting controls. Please reference to drawing and construction documents for specified details Any bid that is submitted after this time shall be non-responsive and returned to the bidder. Any claim by a bidder of error in its bid must be made in compliance with section 5100 et seq. of the Public Contract Code. All bids shall be on the form provided by the District. Each bid must conform and be responsive to all pertinent Contract Documents, including, but not limited to, the Instructions to Bidders. Project Documents will be available starting Thursday, June 16, 2022. Please contact Kevin Flores at mkflores@telacu.com for project documents. The Bidder's license(s) must be active and in good standing at the time of the bid opening and must remain so throughout the term of the Contract. The DISTRICT requires that the bidder possess the following classification of contractor's license at the time the bid is submitted: Class B and/or C-10. The DISTRICT reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process. The California Department of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rates of per diem wages for the locality in which the work is to be performed for the Project. Copies of these wage rate determinations, entitled Prevailing Wage Scale, are maintained at the DISTRICT office and are available at the following website. It shall be mandatory upon the successful bidder to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor listed, to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed by them for the Project. The successful bidder and any listed subcontractor(s) will be required to abide by the DISTRICT s Labor Compliance Program as approved by the California Department of Industrial Relations. Labor Code Section 1771.7. The District shall award the Contract, if it awards it at all, to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on: The Total bid amount only. No bidder may withdraw any bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the date set for the opening of bids. Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300, the Agreement will contain provisions permitting the successful bidder to substitute securities for any monies withheld by the DISTRICT to ensure performance under the Agreement or permitting payment of retentions earned directly into escrow.
