Plant Supply and Installation at Various Locations

A. Plant and supply trees, palms, shrubs, and groundcover at various locations. All plants must be healthy, Florida Grade #1 quality or better, weed free, and meet the minimum standards on the quote form. All single stem trees shall have a straight leader and should have a full, dense canopy based on the species. Plants shall be watered in, until thoroughly established. Plants that die from lack water, or other reason, during the warranty period must be replaced at no cost under the warranty. The contractor will not be responsible for vehicular damage or vandalism. B. Each tree/palm and shrub/groundcover shall have mulched applied over the planted area with a three (3) inch depth, meeting the standards listed below. Mulch shall be Grade #1 non cypress mulch. Color shall match adjacent landscaped areas. Mulch shall consist of shredded wood chips, be uniform in color, be free of invasive plant seeds, dirt, twigs and debris such as plastic and rocks. Mulch must not contain arsenic materials and must be pulled back two inches form each plant to prevent moisture build up. C. The plants shall be provided and installed within 30 days of the request from the Town of Davie. An effort will be made to request multiple plants each time, however in some cases, individual trees will be ordered, particularly in the case of automobile accident sites
