Description | Cost Estimate: $4,300,000.00 - $5,200,000.00 A. The term project is defined in Document 00700 - Abbreviations and Definitions, Paragraph 2. This project includes the following principal features: 1. Levee repairs at three- (3) sites: a. Mobilization and demobilization. b. Developing staging areas as needed. c. Temporary fencing around all work sites and staging areas. d. Turbidity curtains for sites requiring in-water work. e. Exclusionary fencing around trees and other vegetation, including protection around the tree trunks. f. Traffic control and flagging for public safety. g. Installing and maintaining traffic detours in accordance with detour plans as required. h. Providing a certified arborist for tree trimming and branch removal. i. Tree removal from the site, including removing stump and roots to 24-inches below original grade. j. Excavation and backfilling, and disposal of excavated material. k. Geotextile fabric, rockfill, launch rock and bedding material. l. Instream woody material installation in accordance with the Drawings. m. Earthfill. n. Agricultural soil on finished slopes and in voids in rockfill to form soil-filled rockfill. o. Surface treatment including seeding, agricultural soil, native topsoil, aggregate chinking and erosion control fabric placement. p. Pole cuttings. q. Irrigation. r. Partnering Questions relating to bidding may be directed to the Contract Coordinator of DWR in Sacramento, at the contacts listed above. Questions or requests for clarification of the drawings or specifications shall be made in writing no later than 10 days before the scheduled opening of bids. Response, if warranted, will be sent to all prospective bidders on the DWR Planholder's List. A Bid Form booklet will be furnished only to prequalified bidders who meet the requirements of the State Contract Act and Document 00040 - Prequalification. Bid forms for this work are included in a separate booklet titled BID FORM, available only from the Department. Bids will be considered only if submitted for all the work required for the above project. Contractor's license classification required for this work: A . All bidders must submit both the "Contractor's Statement of Experience and Financial Condition" together with "Contractor's Safety Performance" questionnaire, on forms provided by the Department. To qualify, these must be completed and approved before bid documents can be issued to the Contractor. The Department encourages bidders to explore certification as a Small Business and/or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise and to utilize certified Small Business and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises during the contract term. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. |
