Shared Streets Pedestrian Infrastructure Improvements

Project Scope Elements of the Project include (but are not limited to, see Plans in Attachment C) * A new section of sidewalk on the east side of Elm Street from Allen Street to the intersection of Elm Street and Elm Terrace (approximately 250 linear feet); * A newly constructed widened section of sidewalk on Elm Terrace connecting to the intersection of Elm Street and Elm Terrace (approximately 60 linear feet); * Construction of new bus stop waiting areas on the east and west sides of Elm Street and Elm Terrace (for the northbound and southbound buses) with new concrete pads, a crosswalk, signs, and curb ramps; * A new bus shelter with a bike rack at the bus stop on the east side; * A new shelter at the bus stop on the west side; and * An improved curb-ramp on the east side of the intersection of Elm Street and Allen Street. All elements of the plans must meet the Americans with Disabilities (ADA) requirements. See Design Plans in Attachment C (under separate cover). All work is to be completed no later than June 20, 2022 due to grant deadline.
