Description

For construction of the SR-509 Stage 1B S. 206th Street Sewer Relocation Project. Proposals received after the time fixed. will not be considered. This project includes, but is not limited to, the installation of approximately 840 lineal feet of 12" PVC by open cut, 7 new man-holes and associated sewer appurenances between SR 99 and S. 2081;h Street. The proposed work will mainly take place within proposed S. 206th Street and include a connection. in existing S. 208th. Street. A portion of the construction will take place in the temporary SR-99 bypass that will no longer be used at time of sewer construction. The contract also calls for the removal of 3 manholes and approximately 420 lineal feet of existinb sewer mains. Also included in. the scope is pavement patching. The Kngineer's estimate for this project is $720,000, including applicable sales tax. Project bid documents may only be obtained as described below. Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by cash or a certified check, cashier's check or Bid Bond (with authorized sure-ty company as surety) made pay-able to Midway Sewer District, King County, Washington in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. The check or Bid Bond shall be given as guarantee that the Bidder shall execute the Contract, if it he awarded to such Bidder, in conformity with the Contract Documents and that the Bidder shall provide Surety Bond or Bonds as specified therein within ten (10) calendar days after notification of the award of the Contract to the Bidder, Free-of-charge access to project hid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidder List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to portal. and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "Midway Sewer District". Bidders are required to have their own copies of the Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction, most recent. Edition, prepared by the Washington State Department, of Transportation (WSDOT)/American Public Works Association (A.PWA). Midway Sewer District, King County, Washington, reserves the right, to reject any or all Bids, to waive irregularities or informalities in the Bid or in the Bidding, and to give particular attention to the qualifications of the Bidder. No Bidder may withdraw a bid after the hour set for the opening thereof, or before award of Contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding ninety (90) days from the date of bid opening.
