Description

The work includes installing a total of 3,596 ft of 8’ tall fence wildlife fencing and one 8’X12’ gate. The fence will be made with 12’tall treated wood posts. The diameter or width of these posts can vary but should be approximately 5” in diameter or greater. The fencing will be made of either one single 96” or two sections of 48” tall V-mesh no climb horse fence, stacked on top of each other to reach 8’ or 96” tall. Posts should be spaced 10 feet apart. The bottom section of V-mesh no climb horse fence should be placed no more than 1” above the ground or buried as necessary. If the v-mesh horse fence is in two section the top section should be placed flush to the top of the bottom section of horse fence. So, the two sections of horse fence will create a single 8’ fence. The two strands should be connected to each other with hog rings every 12” and secured to every wood post with staples every 12” as well. The horse fence should also be connected and secured to each post at the top, middle, and bottom of the 8’ field fence with wire or a clamp. The top of the field fence should be approximately 8’ above ground level but the most essential part is ensuring that it is not more than 1” above the ground level. See Below Figure 1.
