NAVAID Upgrades At Naples Airport

The City of Naples Airport Authority is seeking sealed bids for the NAVAID Upgrades Project at Naples Airport. This project consists of upgrades to the existing airfield navigational aids, including removal of existing electrical equipment and cabling, construction of a new low voltage duct bank system for airfield NAVAIDS, interface to existing duct bank system, and installation of new feeder circuits for each NAVAID (PAPis and REILs) from the electrical vault to the respective NAVAID. The project also includes replacement of the existing PAPis at each runway end with new, LED PAPis, replacement of existing REILs at each runway end with new, LED REILs, and associated work. The project also includes modifications and installation of new equipment at the electrical vault and ancillary and incidental activities necessary to complete the work in accordance with the specifications and drawings. Questions may be submitted until 5:00 pm, Wednesday, October 5, 2022, to Mike Harris at mharris@hanson-inc.com as a Microsoft Word document. No questions will be accepted after that time. Bidders shall not contact City of Naples Airport Authority Employees, Agents, City of Naples Elected Officials, or the Engineer to discuss the project. Answers to all questions will be compiled into an addendum and posted at online on Friday October 7, 2022. Prospective Bidders shall make sure that bids are mailed or delivered to the City of Naples Airport Authority, (address above) no later than the deadline specified, using the forms furnished with and conforming to the requirements of the Bid Documents. A bid bond or certified cashier's check payable to the City of Naples Airport Authority, equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must be enclosed with the bid. The NAA assumes no responsibility for bids received after the bid submittal time or at any location other than that specified, no matter what the reason. Late bids will not be opened and will not be considered for award. No bidder may withdraw his bid within a period of ninety (90) days after the actual date of opening thereof. All bidders are advised that the project will be funded in part by an Airport Improvement Plan grant, therefore typical Federal mandatory provisions will apply to the contract.
