Panther Move Dirt Form Three Earthened Leeves

Work for this project involves hiring a contractor/vendor to remove three levees from old catfish ponds on Panther Swamp NWR and place removed material by land-leveling in adjoining 6 impoundments/ponds. Cut/fill sheets are attached and represent Levee 1, 3, and 4 that are to be removed and fill placed back on Panther Swamp NWR. Levees are to be cut and adjoining impoundments to the north of south of each respective levee to receive fill. Finished grade to be set at 0.1 slope, toward the pre-existing drainage structures/pipes, and per the provided drawings. Levees are located approximately 6.0 miles from Yazoo City, MS and slightly outside of Carter, MS. Levee locations are only accessible by taking Carter Road to Bell Prairie Road, then entering the Refuge. Wells are located in Humphreys County and Yazoo County, MS. Map is provided.
