Hma paving projects - various locations Adjacent to oil city stadium, alley bike path east of schrage avenue, alley west of oliver street, alley west of sheridan street and public works south access area A certified check/bank draft drawn on a solvent bank or a bid bond drawn on a solvent bank, payable without condition to the City of Whiting in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid shall be submitted with each proposal, as a guarantee that, if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into, and the performance of the contract is properly secured. A performance bond in a sum equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the bid, with sureties to be approved by the Board for the faithful performance of the contract, must be furnished by the successful bidder. All bids or bids shall contain an offer to furnish bond upon acceptance of such bid or proposal. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, to postpone the bid opening, or to advertise for new bids, if the Board determines it is in the best interests of the City. The Contractor must comply with the Certifications and Enforcement for public works construction contractors as established by the Indiana Department of Labor. The Contractor shall also comply with all applicable Federal and local regulations. Proof of INDOT Prequalifications will be required to be submitted with the bid.
