Description

In the award of the contract, the County will accept the Bid or Bids which in their estimation will best serve the interests of the County and will reserve the right to award the contract to the Contractor whose Bid must be best for the public good. The project will occur on an existing snowmobile trail in White Mound County Park, S7995 White Mound Drive, Hillpoint, WI 53937. See Appendix A for an exact location. The approximate start and end of the snowmobile trail improvements will be marked via orange marker. The approximate length of the trail is 1,400 feet. Required trail design and construction specifications include: 2.3.1 Trail Width. The minimum graded width is 10 feet and maximum 12 feet. The minimum turning radius is 25 feet. 2.3.2 Vegetation Clearing. All stumps, root tangles, loose stones and other debris must be cleared from the trail. The area to be cleared should be a minimum of 10 feet wide on straighta-ways (maximum 12 feet) and 25 feet wide on turns. The minimum cleared height about the trail is 10 feet. 2.3.3 Grading. Grading will be required, including clearing topsoil and rough grading the subbase. Soil from higher spots of the trail may be used in nearby low spots. Shoulders and any disturbed areas must be graded to a finished grade. Fill is available in an existing stockpile within the park if needed.
