Regionalization Wastewater Pump Station and Forcemain

will consist of the installation of approximately 1,150 feet of 27 sanitary sewer pipe, approximately 25,000 feet of 16 force main pipe installed by open trench and horizontal directional drilling, and approximately 2,000 feet of 24 and 30 sanitary sewer pipe. The sewer and force main route will generally start at the Citys existing Lagoon Lift Station near Heritage Parkway, extend east and then north along Sundowner Avenue to 69th Street, and then east to the I-29. Associated work will include topsoil and subgrade earthwork removal, placement of sanitary sewer and force main pipe and appurtenances (manholes), backfilling the excavated sewer trench, and surface restoration/topsoil replacement as detailed and shown in the Contract Documents. The project will also consist of the construction of a new sanitary pump station on the south side of the Citys lagoons. The pump station will be submersible style with below grade cast-in-place concrete splitter structure and divided wet well, standby generator, above grade building for housing the pump controls, discharge piping, valves, and meters and site work as detailed and shown in the Contract Documents.
