Notice to Contractors / Request for Bids Notice to Contractors / Request for Bids Kennebec Valley Community College Is Conducting a Competitive Bid Process for the Carter Lecture Hall Renovations Project at the Kvcc Campus in Fairfield, Maine. The renovation project includes: select removals, concrete topping, architectural materials preparation & finishes, and some electrical, in an existing lecture space. The detailed Notice to Contractors and Subcontractors will be on the Bureau of General Services website The Work involves all safety measures, protection, removals, protections, preparations and installations for interior renovation of an existing Lecture Hall space of Carter Hall. The majority of the work will take place on the ground floor, which is directly accessible from the East Entry/Lobby of Carter Hall, immediately adjacent to the Project area. The Owner is arranging for removals of all existing fixed seating and all suspended ceiling tiles prior to start of construction. The project scope includes select existing flooring- interior doors- walls- suspended ceiling assemblies- and some main entry/exitdoorways. The Project calls for concrete infill works, rough & finish carpentry works, carpet tiling, hollow metal exit doorway and interior door adjustments and replacements, new suspended ceilings, interior gypsum board assembly repairs, sound attenuating panels, interior painting, some miscellaneous metal work, adjustments and shop-paintwork, interior electrical lighting & minor stage lighting, electrical adjustments. Some alternate bid items and allowances are also included
