Description | The Project is to remove existing modular buildings, concrete and asphalt flatwork, fencing, landscaping playground structure, utilities and fencing in coordination with the placement of 23 new modular buildings and associated site work as identified per the Construction Documents. Requests for additional information beyond that set forth in the Contract Documents will be considered when the request is in writing and fully documented. Requests must state the source and reason for the request, identify specific reference within the Contract Documents pertinent to the request, and supply all supporting information to assist the Architect in his response. Verbal responses to such requests are to be considered informational; official response will only be given in writing Bidder question deadline May 16, 2023 Any questions concerning the Bidding Documents should be directed to Windy Buller at windyb@capitalpm.com. The Project consists of site work in connection with installation of 31 new modular classrooms, associated new construction, and rehabilitation work on existing structures, in two phases. Phase 1 includes utility work; construction of a storm water retention basin; basketball courts; landscape improvements; parking; and other related site improvements. Among other work, Phase 1 work includes all work necessary to complete and have certified building pads for modular buildings identified as Buildings E, F, G, H, I, J, and K on the Site Plan. Upon completion of Phase 1, staff and students will be relocated into the 19 new classrooms to be installed by a separate modular building contractor. Phase 2 includes all work necessary to demolish existing classroom buildings and complete and have certified building pads for modular buildings identified as Buildings A, B, C, and D on the Site Plan. Modular Buildings to be installed by a separate modular building contractor. Phase 2 also includes renovation of an existing multipurpose building and addition of new kitchen; demolition of older classrooms and portable classroom buildings; a new administration building; and other related site improvements. Portions of the Work are described in Division of the State Architect (DSA) Increment Nos. 02-118975 and 02-118480. The Project is funded by two separate grants, one for new construction and a separate grant for rehabilitation, which do not directly track to the phases of construction. Requirements; Good Faith Efforts (GFE) The Participation Goal for this contract is 3%. |
