Description

Project no- 22139 The estimated construction budget is $6,000,000 to $7,000,000. Work on this Project generally consists of the realignment of N. Lumpkin Street with the proposed Madison Avenue. The construction of a wetland park and stormwater management facility. The realignment of the intersection of N. Hull Street and Hoyt Street. Includes storm drain networks, water and sanitary sewer improvements, sidewalks, lighting, landscaping, and required erosion and sediment control measures. All work is to be conducted using best management practices complying with all applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder from an acceptable surety in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond(s) in the amount of 100% of the Contract Amount. Bids shall not be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner. Award of contract is subject to approval by Athens-Clarke County Unified Government. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bid process. The General Contractors submitting bids or being considered for this work shall be licensed to perform such work, be prequalified by GDOT and comply with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act. Attention is called to the fact that salaries not less than the Davis-Bacon wage rates as published by the U.S. Department of Labor and as set forth in the specifications must be paid on this Project. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
