Description

As of July 20,2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Submit Written Questions Contractor June 16, 2023 at 5:00 PM Catawba County (hereinafter "County") is requesting bids from qualified Contractor(s) to provide road repairs to Sagittarius Circle, Jupiter Court and Taurus Drive located within the Stonecroft Subdivision in Catawba County. A Stonecroft Subdivision Road Improvement Project Map is attached to this Invitation for Bids. StoneCroft is a subdivision off Grassy Creek Road located in Denver, North Carolina, with Sagittarius Circle providing access into the subdivision. The subdivision consists of approximately 65 homes or lots. The roads in the subdivision were constructed in or about the year 2000 and most are privately maintained. Some roads are in NCDOT's maintenance program. The subdivision residents have petitioned the County to finance road repairs to bring the neighborhood roads up to North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) standards with the goal that the roads will be accepted into NCDOT's secondary road maintenance program. The roads are in poor condition and need repairs throughout. The main access road into the subdivision is Sagittarius Circle and it is approximately 6000 feet long. The roads that have petitioned to be accepted into NCDOT's secondary road maintenance program are the rest of Sagittarius Circle (3,600 feet in length remaining), Jupiter Court (236 feet in length), and Taurus Drive (1,235 feet in length). Submit Written Questions Contractor : June 16, 2023 at 5:00 PM Written questions shall be emailed to tinawright@catawbacountync.gov. The successful bidder will be required to furnish: a payment bond and a performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount for contracts costing more than $50,000 that are part of a project costing more than $300,000. Those bonds shall meet the requirements of North Carolina General Statutes 143-129 and of Article 3 of Chapter 44A of the North Carolina General Statutes.
