Iowa Memorial Union - Install Show Dorm Room

Renovation of an educational facility in Iowa City, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a dormitory / residence hall. Iowa Memorial Union - Install Show Dorm Room Project Location: Work shall be performed under this Contract on the campus of the University of Iowa at the Iowa Memorial Union, 125 N Madison St, Iowa City, IA 52245. b. The Constructor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment necessary for, and incidental to, construction of this project as indicated on Drawings dated April 28, 2022. c. Work shall include everything requisite and necessary to finish work properly, notwithstanding that not every item of labor or materials or accessories required to make project complete may be specifically mentioned. a) Project consists of the construction of a show dorm room in the old Union Market C-Store location in the lower level of the Iowa Memorial Union. Work consists of demolition of existing walls, ceilings, finishes and the construction of new walls, doors, viewing window, and ceilings plus the installation of finishes and accessories to create a replica residence hall room and adjacent viewing area. b) Electrical work consists of power distribution, lighting, and card access outside and within the dorm room. c) Mechanical consists of the installation of a non-functioning sink and faucet, unit heater, and window air conditioner unit to simulate the working versions within a real room
