Public Safety Training Facility

Provide design services for a multi-jurisdictional public safety training facility planned at a recently acquired +/- 107 acres in Concord, NC. The facility will assist local emergency medical services, fire departments, and law enforcement in meeting federal, state, and local training requirements. The goal of this project is a comprehensive public safety training facility that should include at a minimum the following facilities: 1. Training classrooms 2. Fitness/shower 3. Office space 4. Simulator space 5. Indoor firing range(s) 6. Gymnasium/Auditorium 7. Police K9 training and demonstration space 8. Commercial and residential burn buildings 9. Multi-story drill tower 10. Driving course 11. Law enforcement facilities for simulating various obstacles during field operations 12. Site elements for specialized training (confined space, hazardous materials and urban search and rescue) Services required by the design team will include: 1. Intensive, multi-jurisdictional programming. 2. Design services. 3. Construction cost estimating. 4. General site analysis and planning. 5. Geotechnical investigation. 6. Operating expense analysis. 7. Traffic assessments. 8. Utility investigation/analysis.
