Downtown Sidewalk Improvements

The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Contractors must be properly licensed at time of bid as required by Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. The End of Question Period is 5:00 pm, May 11, 2022. A link will be provided to join by computer or phone. The purpose of this conference is to explain the City of WinstonSalems Minority and Women Business Enterprise Program requirements and scope of work for this project. Staff will be available to answer technical questions concerning the work and regarding the citys M/WBE program. Compliance with the City of Winston-Salems M/WBE program is required in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders contained in the specifications. The M/WBE subcontracting goals for this project are 6% MBE, 4% WBE and must be met separately. The low bidder who fails to meet said goals must submit Affidavit D and their full Good Faith Effort documentation within 24 hours. Likewise, an Affidavit C is required of the apparent low bidder who meets the M/WBE goals. Project award is anticipated on June 21 with start of construction in mid-July 2022.
