Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District requires a contractor to perform seasonal removal and installation of a dock and four buoys at Blackhawk Park Recreation Area, near De Soto, Wisconsin. In fall (typically early November), the courtesy dock and four "No Wake" buoys will be removed from service, and the components placed in on-site storage. In spring (typically early May), the contractor will install the dock and reset the buoys. The courtesy dock (30’ x 7’), gangway (40’x 4’) and spud poles (6”diameter) removal and install is dependent on water levels and weather conditions. The Contractor will be notified by the Corps Ranger when the park and conditions are right for removal and install. The Contractor will then have 2 weeks to complete the task. Buoys are anchored with 55 gallon drums, ¾ filled with concrete, with an estimated weight between 600 and 700 lbs.
